Small Business PR Opportunities During Super Bowl
-
Check out Sarah Talalay’s sports business story in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that profiles a few small businesses and entrepreneurs who’ve answered the call to be a part of Super Bowl festivities. The story talks about Steven Moseley, executive chef of S&J Catering, who also provided mango bourbon barbecue ribs during the 2007 Super Bowl (the last time the big game was also held in South Florida). According to the story, they find Super Bowl weekend to provide great exposure for their catering service. What’s more, they’re able to use it in their marketing after the game’s long over either with online marketing, newsletters, direct mail and other events. The fact that they made it into Sarah’s story shows how they’ve already leveraged small business PR opportunities to get more exposure.
The story says more than 500 vendors from Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward counties will participate during the festivities. Although small businesses have to be certified by the NFL in order to be included, the league pays close attention at helping smaller entrepreneurs, minority-owned and women-owned companies get into the picture.
