Often times many entrepreneurs feel the need to have a degree in psychology in knowing which buttons to push in order to balance the fine line between being a cheerleader and pushing the envelope - potentially losing the employee to feel they’ve been pushed too hard.

Excellent Idea, as important as motivating employees is in any phase of the business process. It is equally important to change the psychology and culture of the business owner. Many “owners” do not take the time to comprehend how their own personal character flaws impact the success of their employees and their business overall. If you are the type of business owner who is petty and childish, or self promoting to the point that hearing yourself speak is more important than creating a resolution. You will fail regardless of who your employees are. While this dynamic is not measured on any spreadsheet we have seen more than a handful of clients with the wrong attitude drive themselves south before the first anniversary.

I’m glad I stumbled across your blog. Unfortuately I missed the Twitter chat, but I’ll be sure to check in often. As a business owner I know that making sure we have the right people doing the right things is critical, but there is that “x” factor of getting the most out of employees. I’m learning everyday.
