Measure Keyword Success With Landing Pages

young_professional1Once you’ve spent time developing a great search engine optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click strategy, you want to then measure the success, right? Also, you obviously want to drive all of those people who click on your keywords to some kind of destination, right? Well if you simply direct them to your Web site home page, how will you know specifically where they came from and how successful those Pay Per Click ads were? This is where landing page design and landing page tips come into play.

Pay Per Click is a popular form of search marketing and will only continue to grow. Some industry experts believe it’s a $13 billion dollar market today. You have to bid on the keywords you want to choose and that can get expensive. For a small business with a limited budget you may want to focus on “longtail keywords.” For example, the keyword “restaurant” may be very expensive to bid for in a Pay Per Click strategy so instead choose “Anaheim Authentic Mexican Restaurant,” which will be less expensive and more targeted. When someone actually clicks on this keyword, direct them to a destination with a great landing page design rather than your home page.

It’s not difficult to find a landing page design and a landing page template that works for you. They are very effective because they help you measure your keyword traffic, replicate all the brand attributes of your Web site or blog, have functionality that allows visitors to click through to your Web site or blog, and you can find landing page tips that help you include special promotions for added incentive to bring your customers into your store.

Here are some examples of good and bad landing pages. Here are some additional resources for landing page tips and a good landing page template:
