SEO Is A Healthy Bet

It’s a rather simple answer to a question that’s asked a million times a day. In fact, it may even be asked even more than that. Here’s the question - where do you go to get an answer to something? The answer: Google. And, no, I’m not being paid by Google to use their name.So where am I going with this? Yep, you guessed it, Search Engine Optimization.
What is it that your small business does? What do you offer people? How do you help? Answer these questions and start building your presence on Google (and all the other search engines, of course) through Search Engine Optimization.
I was inspired to write this blog post by a hospital group in St. Louis that is taking SEO to a new level. Being a hospital, it’s pretty obvious how they answer the aforementioned questions. The St. Louis Children’s Hospital offers health services for children. As such, they realize people are going to search for lots of health-related questions on Google and other search engines. They’re working hard to make sure their hospital, resources and experts come up near the top of the results for whatever health-related keywords or phrases are being searched.
Here’s an article that says non-profits should be utilizing more SEO strategies. Small business should be doing the same.
As a small business owner interested in marketing, it’s important that you follow their lead. And it doesn’t matter how small your business is because we’ve all searched Google for answers on where to find the smallest, most obscure business in our local area.
