Guerrilla Marketing Help

Embrace the power of street teams.

What if you could gather a group of individuals to go out and take your message to the masses? Maybe you don’t have the budget for a nationwide television ad, or maybe you think a direct mail campaign would be just too daunting at this time (although I would argue that nothing is ever too daunting).

A highly effective and cost-conscious way of getting your message out to people is to mobilize a street team - a group of people that literally hit the streets with some type of promotional message, and embark on a campaign to interact directly with others to spread the word about your company.

The best part about a street team is that you can make it fun, interactive and memorable - three keys to effective branding for your company. And outside of the costs involved in printing any handouts - and of course tossing a few bucks to the people on your street team for their time - this tactic is very cost effective.

Here’s a tip - instead of hiring outside people for your street team, use staff in your company - or your own family. This way your own employees feel engaged, and they also take a little ownership in the success of the project. And instead of paying them a separate fee, make it a fun team-building event and order them a pizza.
